Buddha Day Celebrations and Mitra Ceremonies
Buddha Day Celebrations and Mitra Ceremonies

Sunday 8th May 2022
10:00am - 5:00pm
Led by Sadayasihi and Atulyamitra
On this day, we recollect and honour the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha.
The day falls on the May full moon, and we’ll be marking it on Sunday 8th of May by coming together to hear about the Buddha and by practicing the Buddha’s teaching.
Buddha Day will be extra-special this year as we will be having our first in-person Mitra ceremonies in over 2 years. This is a joyous and inspiring ceremony where we witness some our friends here at the DBC deepening their commitment to the Buddha, the Dharma (the teaching of the Buddha), and the Sangha (the spiritual community of Buddhists).
We are very excited to see six of our friends all become Mitras on what is sure to be an auspicious occasion.
This event is offered on a donation basis.
Please come along in-person to this event, or if you cannot make it for any reason, you can still attend via zoom:
