Change your Mind – Buddhism & Meditation Course
Change your Mind – Buddhism & Meditation Course
Wednesday 23rd March 2022
7:00pm - 9:00pm
Led by Vajrashura
A five-week course exploring the path of Buddhism and Meditation both in-person and online.
As covid restrictions ease we may notice that we do not respond to the changing circumstances in a straightforward way. Perhaps we are resistant to the opening of society and fear what these changes will bring? Or maybe we dive headfirst into what the new freedoms permit only to find we don’t get the satisfaction we were expecting?
The Buddhist approach is to recognise that to free ourselves, we need to recognise that happiness and fulfillment ultimately come from within our mind, not from external conditions. And that to free ourselves we need to change our mind so we can respond to the flux and chaos of our surroundings with creativity, calm and resilience.
On this five-week course we will explore how Buddhist teachings and practices enable us to make this change. Central to the course will be a thorough introduction to the practice of meditation.
The course is accompanied by the book Change Your Mind by Paramananda and you can purchase it online from Windhorse Publications in either paperback or in ebook format.
This course is offered as an in-person course as well as an online course. While all of our events are offered on a donation basis, to attend our courses in-person we ask for a deposit of €30 to secure a place as space is limited.
All our events are offered for free but you might consider making a donation to help us to continue to provide classes.
Suitable for: Anyone interested in learning about Buddhism and how to meditate.
