[Fully Booked] Letting Go: Writing and Meditation Day
[Fully Booked] Letting Go: Writing and Meditation Day
Sunday 24th March 2024
10:00am - 4:30pm
Led by Liz Evers
This course is fully booked. Please email info@dublinbuddhistcentre.org to join a waiting list.
We will create a space for personal reflection through writing and meditation, gently exploring our human condition and capacity for development. With a strong emphasis on self-compassion, the writing sessions will be used to help us delve deeper into the current phases of our lives and the patterns and habits we would like to shed, and to explore the theme of impermanence and the positive potential for change it brings.
What happens on the day
The morning and afternoon sessions will consist of a mixture of short meditations and longer writing exercises, themed to help us take stock of our lives and consider ways we can bring about the positive changes we desire. Lunch will be between 1-2pm, and there will be a silent tea break during both sessions.
We encourage participants on the day to bring along vegetarian or vegan food to share as this can be a great way to spend time together and make connections, however there are also plenty of shops and cafes nearby should you like to purchase food to share on the day, or to have lunch by yourself.
Day retreat leader
The day will be led by Liz Evers, a writer who has been practising meditation and Buddhism for ten years.
Who this day is for
No experience of writing or meditation is necessary, but an interest in Buddhism would be of benefit as we will be exploring some Buddhist themes in our writing.
