The Centrality of Going for Refuge: Study Day for Men with Dharmadipa

Saturday 7th October 2023
10:00am - 5:00pm

Led by Dharmadipa

An In-Person Event

The Centrality of Going for Refuge is one of Sangharakshita’s most important insights into Buddhism and it is the basis for everything we do in Triratna and for how Triratna is structured.

On this day we will look at the Dimensions and the Levels of Going for Refuge using various texts where Sangharakshita speaks about the topic. We will also explore the connection of Going for Refuge with the Precepts.

Dharmadipa was born in Germany, got involved with the Triratna Buddhist Community at the age of 20. He was ordained in 1994, from 1997 on he worked 10 years for the Essen Buddhist Centre, Germany, where he taught Buddhism and Meditation and was also involved with the running of the centre. He lives in Padmaloka, where he is part of the Ordination Team that help men train for ordination.

Dharmadipa will be leading a day of study for men. More information on the theme will follow shortly.
