The Great Spell: Exploring the Heart Sutra – A Sub-30 Seminar

On this seminar Prasannadeva will be exploring one of the most influential and profound texts of the Buddhist tradition – the Heart Sutra. As elusive as it is profound, it is a sacred text that if understood incorrectly, could be detrimental, even catastrophic for your spiritual life, however if approached correctly and with right view, can give us a glimpse of the beauty, power, and magic of the Enlightened mind.
This seminar will give participants some insight of how to best approach the Sutra, hear stories about the influence of the text on some Buddhist traditions and have an opportunity to connect with others who are seeking out a path towards awakening.
Suitable for anyone interested in Buddhism who is 30 years or younger. No charge, just turn up on the morning. Just show up at 10am, or come around 9.30am if you want to join us for tea, coffee and croissants beforehand.
Prasannadeva is a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order and has many years of experience in leading young peoples’ events at the Dublin Buddhist Centre. He also teaches courses and leads retreats regularly. He is currently working as Centre Manager and lives in the Men’s Buddhist Community in Drumcondra.
