The Heart’s Release: A Sub-30 Seminar

Saturday 11th May 2024
10:00am - 1:00pm

Led by Sadayasihi

An In-Person Event

For some, the fact that Sangha, or spiritual community, is one of the Three Jewels of Buddhism is a bit of a mystery – surely if we have the Dharma, the teachings that point the way to liberation, that’s enough?

But the Buddha was emphatic in saying that friendship is the whole of the spiritual life. What does this mean? What kind of friendship are we talking about?

Join Sadayasihi as we explore the Meghiya Sutta which outlines the importance of friendship and Sangha as a means of preventing us from tipping into individualism, and missing the point of the spiritual journey.

Sadayasihi learned to meditate in 2007 in the Dublin Buddhist Centre while she was training to be a solicitor, having had an interest in Buddhism since she was a teenager. She was ordained in 2016 and is the Chair of the DBC, as well as leading a study group and teaching classes.

Who is this for

For anyone between 18 and 30 years of age. All levels of experience welcome. No need to book in advance. Just show up for 10am, or you can come from 9.30am to have coffee and croissants beforehand!
