An In-Person Event

A Five-Week Online Practical Course in Contemplation and Insight

When we hear something of meaning or significance, it can strike a chord with something deep inside of us. We can then want to change our lives in line with this, and live in a better way.

But we can soon run into a central problem of the spiritual life – how do we bring this vision down into our behaviour and our habits?

Reflection is the vital key in bringing our aspirations deeper into how we emotionally relate to the world and how we act.

On this course, we will explore reflection as part of the Buddha’s teaching, especially how to think and reflect, and how to think well! In particular, we’ll explore how reflection can help imbue our lives with a deeper sense of richness and colour.

It will be based upon Ratnaguna’s book The Art of Reflection. To do the course, you will need to have a copy of the book, which you can purchase in eBook format and in printed format (received in the post) from Windhorse Publications.

The publisher Windhorse Publications have kindly offered a 10% discount on the cost of the book for participants of this course. To avail of the discount please use the code reflection10_dbc when you make your order. Also, if you sign up for a free account you’ll get an additional 10% off the cost of the book.

This course will be run on Zoom. All our online events are offered for free but you might consider making a donation to help us to continue to provide classes.

Suitable for: Anyone who wants to think and reflect more effectively, and who wants to learn more about Buddhism.

Please note that the course will not take place on 12th July 2021 (for a week break) and will end on 19th July 2021.
