Young Buddhists Event – Who is the Buddha?

Saturday 7th January 2023
10:00am - 1:00pm

Led by Vajrashura

An In-Person Event

The Buddha was the person who started Buddhism 2,500 years ago. But who was he? And what was he like? What did someone like this who was deeply wise think and feel and behave?

On this study seminar morning for people under 30, Vajrashura will explore these questions using an ancient Buddhist text – The Purabheda Sutta – in which the Buddha explores the qualities of the Enlightened Mind. The morning will be a mix of study, reflection, and discussion.

Suitable for anyone interested in Buddhism who is 30 years or younger. No charge, just turn up on the morning. Come around 9.30am if you want to join us for tea and croissants beforehand!

Vajrashura is an experienced Buddhist teacher in the Triratna Buddhist Community. He has been meditating since 1999 and was ordained in 2007. He is a Public Preceptor, someone who conducts ordinations into the Triratna Buddhist Order.

All levels of experience welcome.

All our events are offered on a donation basis but you might consider making a donation to help us to continue to provide these kinds of events.
